Alex has been with the Leed Insulation & Spray Foam team since 2023. Before joining Leed, he spent 14 years in the hospitality industry. Alex enjoys installing batt insulation and takes pride in getting paid for the work he does well. One of his favorite parts of the industry is the chance to keep learning new things. He also appreciates customers who trust him to do the job right, and he values working with teammates he can count on to do their part. Outside of work, Alex enjoys taking care of his dogs. His advice to others entering the trades is empowering: “Invest in yourself, because there is good money to be made.”
David has been with Leed Insulation & Spray Foam since 2005. Before joining the Leed team, he worked in landscaping and pool remodeling, bringing strong hands-on experience to the job. David’s favorite part of his work is the chance to experience new opportunities, and he finds the industry rewarding at the end of each day. He also enjoys helping customers understand spray foam, especially how it works and the benefits it can provide. One of his favorite parts of working at Leed is teaming up with his coworkers to get the job done right. Outside of work, David enjoys exercising, spending time with his family, fishing, and going to the beach. His advice to others thinking of joining the industry is to “stay open to learning, no matter how much you already know.”
Larry has worked as a Lead Batt Installer for our Leed Insulation & Spray Foam team since 2019. Before joining Leed, he worked in Orlando installing drop ceiling insulation for a specialty contractor, bringing valuable hands-on experience to the team. Larry’s favorite part of his job is getting the work done correctly the first time and not having to go back to fix mistakes. He especially enjoys working with batt insulation and likes meeting the people he gets to work for along the way. He also values working alongside people he enjoys being around. Outside of work, Larry likes fishing and spending time with his family. His words of wisdom are heartfelt: “It’s not a job, it’s an adventure.”
Michael has served as Leed’s Shop Manager since 2021, where he does a little bit of everything. Before joining our team, Mike owned a trucking business for 30 years and drove more than 8 million miles across the U.S. and Canada, including 15 years without an accident or ticket. He enjoys the variety his role brings and appreciates that there is never a dull moment. Mike values the people he works with, especially his boss and teammates, and says he has learned a lot since coming to Leed. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, working on boats, and fishing with his grandkids. His advice to others interested in joining this industry is to “accept change and learn from the people you work with.”
Morris became a member of the Leed Insulation & Spray Foam team in 2025. Before that, he worked in building grounds maintenance, bringing hands-on experience to the role. Morris says one of his favorite parts of the job is simply having the opportunity to do this work, and he enjoys being able to work at his own pace while getting the job done. He takes pride in satisfying customers and being rewarded for the work he does well. Morris also values working with teammates who stay on the same page and focus on getting the job done right. Outside of work, he enjoys taking care of his garden and his dogs. His advice is straightforward: “Do the job right the first time.”
Chip has been a part of the Leed Insulation & Spray Foam family since 2010, bringing decades of construction experience to his role as an Estimator. He first started working in the industry during summer breaks at age 15, when his father was building single-family homes and condominiums. Over the years, he gained experience with subcontractors and multiple trades, later spending 25 years as an expeditor managing single-family and multi-family homes. Today, Chip enjoys seeing the impressive projects being built throughout the area and helping the sales team put together accurate, competitive takeoffs. In his free time, he enjoys being outdoors, especially bicycling and spending time with his family. His advice to those considering the trades is that it is “gratifying being part of a build. It takes many skills and a true team effort, but when a project is all done, you can step back and take pride in what was accomplished.”
Jennifer has been a valued part of the Leed Insulation & Spray Foam team since 2018, bringing a strong background in administrative support and customer service to her role as Administrative Assistant. She enjoys helping keep daily operations organized and running smoothly while supporting both the team and customers. Jennifer takes pride in making each customer’s experience as easy and positive as possible from start to finish. She also appreciates being part of an industry that improves comfort, energy efficiency, and quality in homes and businesses. Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys going to church, singing, spending time with family, and relaxing. Her advice to anyone considering a career in the trades is simple: “Be open to learning, stay consistent, and take pride in your work.”
Mac has been with the Leed Insulation & Spray Foam family since 2024. Before joining Leed, he spent six years with a corporate insulation company as an estimator and sales consultant, along with eight years in the hospitality industry. Mac enjoys meeting people from all walks of life and helping homeowners reach their energy goals while saving money along the way. He values being able to offer honest opinions, practical solutions, and fair pricing to every customer. One of his favorite parts of the industry is the constant pursuit of excellence and pushing both himself and his team to improve. Outside of work, Mac enjoys playing hockey, photography, and spending time with Sydney, Leed’s Bid Coordinator. His advice to anyone considering a career in the trades is simple: “Hard work creates endless opportunities, so come in with a ‘get-it-done’ mindset.”
Kelly has been a valued member of the Leed Insulation & Spray Foam team for 21 years and serves as our Office Manager. Before joining Leed, she worked in a call center, where she built strong communication and customer service skills that continue to serve her well today. Kelly enjoys that no two days are the same and appreciates the unpredictability of her job that keeps her engaged and on her toes. She also values working in an industry that is constantly evolving and always offers something new to learn. Kelly enjoys making a positive impact on customers’ days and values the strong sense of mutual support she shares with her teammates. The work environment feels truly collaborative for Kelly when she knows she can rely on her colleagues for help, and they can rely on her, too. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time on or near the water with family and close friends or reading a good book on a rainy day. For those just starting out in the trades, Kelly’s advice is to “prioritize resilience by treating mistakes as learning opportunities and make sure to maintain a healthy work-life balance.”
Jody has been a dedicated member of the Leed Insulation & Spray Foam team since 1997 and serves as our Accounts Receivable Manager. Before joining Leed, she worked as an Accounting Assistant at a CPA firm, bringing valuable financial experience to her role. Jody enjoys all aspects of her job and appreciates the stability and growth opportunities the insulation industry provides. She especially values building relationships with customers, solving issues, and working together to achieve the best possible results. One of her favorite parts of working with her teammates is collaborating to overcome obstacles and supporting one another along the way. Outside of work, Jody enjoys boating, camping, fishing, hiking, and spending as much time as possible outdoors. Her advice to those considering a career in the trades is: “Success requires hard work, and you have to be willing to learn new things along the way.”
Randy joined the Leed Insulation & Spray Foam team sixteen years ago and works in our Sales Department. Before joining our team, he worked as a high school custodian and gained experience with several insulation companies. Randy’s favorite part of his job is meeting people and helping customers find something they truly need. He enjoys building strong relationships with customers and values being able to get along well with the people he works with every day. One of his favorite parts of working with his teammates is joking with them. Outside of work, Randy enjoys camping and cruising. His advice for anyone considering a career in the trades or insulation is simple and safety minded: “Make sure you can tolerate fiberglass.”
Sydney has been with the Leed Insulation & Spray Foam team since 2025. Before joining Leed, she worked in the restaurant industry, serving and bartending, which helped build the strong people skills she brings to her role as Bid Coordinator today. Sydney’s favorite part of her job is seeing employees rewarded for their hard work, and she enjoys learning something new about the industry every day. She also values hearing from customers who know they can count on Leed to get the job done right. Sydney loves working with her teammates and learning from their different experiences and perspectives. Outside of work, she enjoys going to the beach, paddleboarding, teaching her dog new tricks, and spending time with Mac in Sales. She has this advice for those considering a job in the trades: “The trades are a steady, growing industry. There are always new opportunities and positions to look for.”
Michelle has been part of Leed Insulation & Spray Foam since the beginning and is proud to serve as the company’s owner. Over the years, she has worked in many areas of the business, including every position at Leed Fireproofing & Insulation from 2004 to 2009, helping build the strong foundation Leed stands on today. Michelle’s favorite part of her job is the relationships she’s built over the years and the opportunity to help people save money while building their dreams. She loves the family atmosphere at Leed and values the way the team works together and supports one another. Outside of work, Michelle enjoys spending time with her husband, kids, grandkids, and fur babies, as well as “glamping in the fifth wheel.” Her advice to anyone considering this field is that “insulation is not a dead-end job, but a rewarding career that can build relationships and take you higher than you ever expected.”
Phillip came on board the Leed Insulation & Spray Foam team as an Estimator in 2022. Before joining Leed, he built an impressive 40-year career in the insulation, fireproofing, and waterproofing industry. Phillip’s favorite part of his job is anticipating his next task, and he enjoys being part of the continued growth of his home state of Florida through his work in the industry. He values the communication and camaraderie he shares with his teammates each day. Outside of work, Phillip enjoys golfing, playing tennis, and taking his sports car out for a spirited drive where he can “drive it like he stole it.”
Ed and his wife, Michelle, founded Leed Insulation and Spray Foam in 1989 and continue to build it with a strong family- and community-focused approach. Ed’s background is diverse, with formal training in graphic arts and commercial printing, experience in small newspaper production, and early hands-on insulation work dating back to high school. He also owned a landscaping and firewood business before returning to the insulation industry and launching Leed.
What Ed enjoys most about his work comes down to people and challenges. He values staying current with new trends and technologies and sharing his knowledge and experience with others. He finds joy in helping customers save money while reaching their goals. For him, business is personal, and many customers and vendors become lasting friends. As for his team? He loves being a part of their lives and feels blessed to be surrounded by a wealth of wonderful people.
Outside of work, Ed enjoys spending time with his wife and family, traveling, visiting friends, listening to music, biking, scuba diving, and learning new things. He is a self-proclaimed “technoholic” who you will often find working on computers and computer programming. His advice to anyone considering a career in the trades? “A college education is not needed to earn a good living and build a good life for yourself and your family. You can get out of it what you put in. Working with your hands and exercising your mind is as rewarding as any other occupation.”
Mel has been part of the Leed Insulation & Spray Foam team for over two decades and serves as Production Manager. Before joining Leed, he worked for another local insulation company, building a strong foundation in the industry that has helped shape his long career. Mel’s favorite part of his job is working with others and seeing a job done correctly from start to finish. He especially values hearing from customers when they call to say the team did a good job. For Mel, one of the most rewarding parts of working with his teammates is watching them grow. Outside of work, he enjoys catching up on sleep. His advice for anyone considering a career in the trades or insulation is straightforward: “If you like to work hard, do a good job, and make good money, this is the job for you.”
